Montage of Game Birds

News - Top Diagnoses for 2008 season

The horribly wet summer of 2008 was reflected in a change in the significance of coccidiosis in the pheasant population. We believe that this is less to do with the efficiency of the treatments available and more to do with the fact that the birds had so many opportunities to drink rainwater rather than the beautifully crafted regimes we planned together! We suggest that you plan to monitor the coccidial situation by regular oocyst counts in dropping samples from groups of birds.

Contract and Registered Clients of the Practice continue to have access to the extra information about all the conditions on our members pages. As the access code has changed you need to make sure that you are signed up for the year. If you want to join up, simply click on How to Join Us on any of the pages.
